Babae Expo Reportback
In the summer of 2011, six women took a journey back to their motherland the Philippines. There, they learned about the conditions that everyday Pinay women typically face, and why so many Pinays are forced to sacrifice extensivel…y for their families. In the midst of struggle and exploitative conditions, we also witnessed the strength of our people to fight for what’s rightfully theirs… a legacy we continue as Filipinos abroad.
Join Babae on Saturday, January 21st (5:30-8pm) at the Bayanihan Community Center (San Francisco) for a reportback of last summer’s exposure trip. Learn about how you can support more Babae women to continue working with GABRIELA-Philippines, to advance the women’s movement in the Philippines. Also, learn about how you can also participate in an exposure trip!
